Two people who shaped my design philosophy…

  1. At Ohio State University, one of my most influential mentors was Paul Young, an extraordinary leader with deep empathy and a service-oriented mindset. He taught me that to design for people, we must first understand their worldview. When we genuinely care about the people we design for, design becomes an act of service.

  2. At NYU, Red Burns, the chair of my graduate program and a true revolutionary in technology, showed me what it means to put people first, collaborate fully, and be fearless in experimentation.
